Ramen Factory

Ramen Factory is a restaurant with a new concept: you make your own ramen and then enjoy eating it. Produced by the long-established shop Menbaka Ichidai with over 30 years of history, it proposes a fresh style of ramen experience. With guidance from experienced staff, you can try every step of ramen-making, from kneading wheat flour and making noodles to preparing chashu, cooking the soup, seasoning, draining the noodles, and adding toppings. The short course lets you experience noodle-making and draining and takes 45 minutes for 3,500 yen. The full course lets you experience all steps and takes 90 minutes for 4,500 yen. Reservations are required, with start times every hour from 11:00 and the last start at 18:00. Support is available in 12 languages including Japanese, English, and Chinese, making it popular with international visitors. Located a 3-minute walk from Tofukuji Station, it offers excellent access from Kyoto Station, Fushimi Inari, and Gion, making it a great stop during sightseeing.
