Ebisuya Arashiyama Kyoto
Ebisuya Kyoto Arashiyama (Main Shop) is a sightseeing rickshaw service based in Arashiyama, Kyoto. It began operating in Arashiyama in 1992 with just three rickshaws, and today runs services not only in Kyoto (Arashiyama and Higashiyama) but also in major tourist destinations nationwide such as Otaru, Asakusa, Kamakura, Miyajima, Kurashiki, Kanmon, and Yufuin. With more than 200 staff including rickshaw pullers, the company offers lively rides and guided storytelling, letting guests enjoy places, stories, and views that are hard to experience otherwise. Popular Arashiyama courses include the Togetsukyo Bridge Sightseeing Course and the Sagano Bamboo Grove Course. Each rickshaw can carry up to two passengers, and you can ask the puller for recommended hidden spots. Some pullers can guide in English, Chinese, or Spanish, making it popular with international visitors. Even without deciding a route beforehand, hopping on a rickshaw can be a strong helper for sightseeing, offering local guidance and insider tips.
