Sunnide Resort

Sunnide Resort is a resort facility along the Kohoku View Line on the northern shore of Lake Kawaguchi (one of the Fuji Five Lakes). Lodging options include cottages, a hotel (main building and western building), and the lakeside villa “Senichikei.” The hotel buildings are Japanese in spirit yet modern, chic, and calm in design. Senichikei offers all-suite rooms; from rooms with private open-air baths, you can enjoy a grand panorama of Lake Kawaguchi and Mt. Fuji. There are 22 cottages in total, available in both Japanese-style and Western-style layouts to match different needs. Cottages include kitchens with tableware, a rice cooker, refrigerator, and microwave, so self-catering is possible—perfect for relaxing with drinks in the forest. All buildings have Wi-Fi, making it good for workations. There is also a BBQ area on the grounds; even if you come empty-handed, rentals cover everything. Bringing your own ingredients is OK, and supplies can also be arranged on-site. Access: by train, get off at Fujikyu Railway “Kawaguchiko Station,” then take a Fujikyu bus for about 15 minutes and get off at “Sunnide-mae.” By car: about 15 minutes from Chuo Expressway “Kawaguchiko IC.”
