Royal Hotel YATSUGATAKE

Royal Hotel Yatsugatake is a resort hotel where you can enjoy beautiful mountain scenery—Yatsugatake, the Minami Alps, Mt. Fuji—about a little over two hours from the city. You can feel the seasons through the scenery and enjoy spectacular star-filled skies. Dining is mainly buffet-style, featuring many delicious dishes made with seasonal ingredients; the breakfast was ranked #1 in Yamanashi Prefecture in a “breakfast festival” on a certain site. Bathing facilities are also well equipped, including an open-air bath and sauna. It is certified as a “Welcome Baby” accommodation, making it suitable for travelers with infants. Access: by plane, from Matsumoto Airport take a bus (~25 min) to Matsumoto Station, transfer to the Chuo Line limited express (~45 min) to JR “Kobuchizawa Station,” then drive ~20 min. By car, about 15 minutes from Chuo Expressway “Nagasaka IC” via Prefectural Road 28. By train, from JR Chuo Main Line “Kobuchizawa Station,” taxi ~20 min; or take the JR Koumi Line ~15 min to “Kai-Oizumi Station,” then taxi ~3 min. There is also pickup from Kai-Oizumi Station (about 5 min) between 8:30–17:30; hours may vary by season—confirm in advance.
