Yatsugatake Resort Outlet is an outlet shopping spot located at an altitude of about 1,000 meters, where you can enjoy shopping while experiencing the grand natural scenery of the Yatsugatake mountain range. More than 40 stores gather in one place, including men’s, women’s, and kids’ apparel, fashion accessories, toys, casual wear, sports/outdoor goods, and dining. It features not only hugely popular select shops like BEAMS and UNITED ARROWS, but also local specialty shops. One example is the local selection shop “SENNOYA,” which curates seasonal Yamanashi souvenirs—top classics like houtou and Shingen-mochi, plus local sake, Koshu wine, processed goods made from local vegetables, and game meat. Their original flavored teas, blending roasted green tea or sencha with plenty of Yamanashi fruit, are also recommended—an easy way to discover a “new Yamanashi.” Since outlet shopping can be boring for kids, the outlet also runs “Forest School” programs designed to deepen children’s connection with nature and enrich life (primarily for school-age kids, but adults can join too).
