Gosho Aoyama Manga Factory
Gosho Aoyama Manga Factory (Gosho Aoyama Furusato-kan) is a museum dedicated to Gosho Aoyama, the creator of “Detective Conan,” beloved not only in Japan but worldwide. The roughly 1.5 km route from Conan Station (JR San’in Main Line “Yura Station”) to the museum is officially named “Conan Street,” and it’s a spot enjoyed by locals as well. The Hokuei Town Tourist Information Office next to Conan Station and the museum both offer bicycle rentals (paid), which is recommended to make sightseeing more efficient. Inside, the museum is designed to be toured while solving puzzles—letting you immerse yourself in the Detective Conan world. The museum shop also sells rare, museum-exclusive goods. Access: from JR San’in Main Line “Kurayoshi Station,” get off at “Yura Station (Conan Station)”; from there it’s about 7 minutes by car or about 20 minutes on foot (approx. 1.5 km).
