Beppu Tower

Beppu Tower is an observation tower in Beppu City, Oita Prefecture. Standing 90 meters tall, it is loved as a symbol of Beppu. Visitors can go up to the observation deck and enjoy 360-degree views over Beppu City and Beppu Bay. One floor below the deck is an observation lounge where you can drink alcohol while enjoying Beppu’s night view. Although the observation deck closes earlier, the lounge remains open until midnight. There is also a restaurant on the first floor that stays open until 1:00 a.m. Karaoke on the fourth floor is open until 5:00 a.m., allowing visitors to enjoy the night view late into the night. Beppu Tower is also registered as a Tangible Cultural Property of Japan. The shop sells unique souvenirs such as Beppu Santaro goods available only here. Close to Beppu Onsen, it is a sightseeing spot many visitors want to see when visiting Beppu. There is also a foot bath café on the first floor, which is also popular. Access to Beppu Tower is about a 10-minute walk from Beppu Station, and if you are staying in Beppu, it is also a great idea to walk there.
