Tsuetate Kanko Onsen Hizenya
Tsue-tate Onsen Hizenya is a long-established hot spring ryokan in Tsue-tate Onsen, Aso District, Kumamoto Prefecture. Located on the border between Oita and Kumamoto, it offers open-air bathing in rich natural surroundings. With as many as 11 hot spring sources, you can enjoy an impressive 41 different bath tubs. Day-use bathing and private family baths are also available. In summer, there is a pool, adding even more ways to enjoy your stay. Rooms include Japanese and Western styles with nature views. At night you can enjoy buffet or kaiseki dining, and breakfast is an open-kitchen buffet. Tsue-tate Onsen is also known for “Tsue-tate Pudding,” and you can do a pudding food-walk with various shops offering creative versions—highly recommended. With frequent seasonal nature views and events, it remains popular with tourists even for stays focused mainly on the ryokan itself. Access: there is a direct bus from Hakata Station in Fukuoka City.
