Akita Airport Royal Sky Lounge

Royal Sky is a lounge located on the 2nd floor of the Akita Airport Domestic Terminal. The entire lounge is finished with Akita cedar (Akita-sugi) from Akita Prefecture, creating a calm, soothing space for travelers. Even the ceiling lights incorporate Akita cedar, giving the lounge a distinctive Japanese-inspired design. There is an admission fee of 820 yen per person, but if you have a gold card from certain card issuers, you can use the lounge for free by presenting your boarding pass and card (with some exceptions). Notably, American Express cards and Diners Club cards can be used free of charge even without gold status. The lounge has 35 seats, and the side tables are also made with Akita cedar wood. Seating is available in three styles: sofa seating, table seating, and counter seating. There is also a business corner with a total of six seats—some with PCs and some without—and the internet is set up so you can use it immediately, which is a welcome convenience. Complimentary drinks are plentiful, and the coffee in particular is provided by Nagahama Coffee, a well-known local cafe in Akita Prefecture, so you can enjoy a carefully crafted taste while you wait for your flight.
