Kamitsubaki

Kamisubaki is a Shiseido Parlour restaurant/cafe located in Kotohira Town, Kagawa Prefecture, just below the main sanctuary of Kotohira-gu (Konpira-san). It is one of the few Shiseido Parlour shops in Japan. Many people climb not only for shrine worship but specifically to visit Kamisubaki. Notably, those using Kamisubaki can drive up to around the 500th step. Many women visit to enjoy elegant and delicious meals and sweets. Enter from the rest area around the 500th step; the first floor is a restaurant and the second floor is a cafe. In its modern, simple building and interior, enjoy Kamisubaki’s signature parfait along with Konpira-san’s sacred atmosphere. Compared with the surrounding shops, the stylish vibe stands out immediately. Light meals like sandwiches and pasta are also available, and it offers dinner service as well, giving a somewhat upscale experience. Access is about a 15-minute walk from Kotohira Station. If coming by car, there is parking, but note that only Kamisubaki users are allowed to park there.
