Asutamu Land Tokushima
Asutamuland Tokushima is a theme park where everyone from children to adults can enjoy science through play and hands-on experiences. Its Children’s Science Museum is built around three themes—space & Earth, life & environment, and science & technology & humans—and is designed with engaging exhibits that you can touch, operate, and think through, supported by staff explanations that make science wonders easy to understand. “Adventure Land” has about 30 types of playground equipment, and “Exploration Land” includes objects like the Sound Walkway and a fog pool made with artificial mist, offering fun encounters with nature and science mysteries. The planetarium uses a projector said to be the brightest in the world, creating the sensation of flying into real outer space. Other attractions include the Yoshino River Cruise, where you ride a small boat through various effects to experience Tokushima’s nature and seasonal scenery, including the Naruto whirlpools. In December, an illumination event is held, filling the large grounds with a sparkling white-themed space. Access is by bus from JR Tokushima Station toward Kajiyabara, getting off at “Asutamuland Tokushima.”
