Kintetsu Nara Station Tourist Information
The Kintetsu Nara Station General Tourist Information Center is a tourist information office located on the first floor of the Kintetsu Nara Station building. It is easy to spot thanks to "Shikamarokun," the mascot character of the Nara City Tourist Association. An English-capable information counter is available, so international visitors can use it with confidence. The brochure corner offers pamphlets in Japanese, English, and other languages. With plenty of maps, reference materials, and event information, it’s a good idea to stop by first when you arrive in Nara, gather information, and then head out sightseeing. A currency exchange machine is also provided, which is convenient for international travelers who need Japanese yen during their trip. There is also a free Wi-Fi spot, which is great for tourists who want to look up information on the go. It is open year-round from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., which is very reliable. Its excellent convenience—directly connected to the station—is another major attraction.
