Kagoshima Airport View Deck

The Kagoshima Airport Observation Deck is an observation deck inside Kagoshima Airport in Kirishima City, Kagoshima Prefecture. It offers a good view of aircraft taking off and landing with the Kirishima mountain range in the background. On fine days, it has a relaxed atmosphere where people might have a small picnic, or buy soft-serve ice cream at the airport shops and enjoy it while watching from the deck. It’s recommended to experience the scenery unique to Kagoshima Airport, which has a relatively high number of flights. Inside the airport there is also a natural hot-spring footbath called “Oyattosaa,” where you can soak tired feet before boarding, or even make it your first stop upon arriving in Kagoshima. An original towel costs 200 yen, using an honor-system self-service payment. You can also simply visit the airport to enjoy the deck, shopping for souvenirs, and the footbath.
