Amu Plaza Kagoshima
Amu Plaza Kagoshima is a large mixed-use commercial station building at Kagoshima-Chuo Station. Located within Kagoshima’s central hub, it combines the functions of a station building with fashion-forward appeal, supported by PARCO’s operational consulting. It is the second-largest facility in Kagoshima after Aeon Mall Kagoshima, with a total floor area of about 58,400㎡. The first-floor souvenir area is always crowded with tourists. Local specialties like karashi mentaiko, tonkatsu, and satsuma-age sell rapidly. Among them, the sweet-potato rare cheesecake ‘Lovely’ is especially popular with young women. Beyond fashion and souvenirs, it has many restaurants, packed with tourists and locals coming for Kagoshima cuisine. It also includes a cinema (the most screens in Kagoshima) and even pool/spa facilities, making it a gathering place for many people. Access: it is directly connected to JR Kagoshima-Chuo Station (note: the provided access text mentions Kokura Station, but the facility is in Kagoshima).
