伊予のご馳走 おいでん家 道後店

Oidenya is a dining spot located diagonally across from Dogo Onsen Honkan. The name comes from the Iyo dialect “”oidenka,”” meaning “”please come.”” Founded by fishmongers, the restaurant is known for exceptionally fresh seafood purchased each morning from the fish market. A standout dish is “”Matsuyama (Matchama) Aburi Tai-meshi,”” featuring lightly seared natural sea bream (served with skin) placed over warm rice; diners can enjoy it in two ways—first as sashimi-style, then as ochazuke with dashi broth. It is limited to 20 servings, so those determined to try it should aim for lunchtime opening. “”Uwajima-style tai-meshi,”” another Ehime specialty, is also a popular menu item here. The restaurant also offers seasonal monthly specials using ingredients that are only available at certain times of year, such as fugu from autumn to winter. After a bath, the “”Yuagari Beer Set”” (a medium draft beer, Nanyo-region jakoten fish cake, and one small daily side dish) is recommended. All seating is horigotatsu (sunken-floor seating), so it’s comfortable even for those who can’t sit in seiza.
