Okudogo Ichiyu no Mori is a ryokan in Okudogo Onsen, located about 4 km from Dogo Onsen. Although slightly removed from the main Dogo Onsen town, guests can reach it in about 10 minutes using the free shuttle bus from in front of Iyotetsu “”Dogo Onsen Station.”” With the Ishite River flowing nearby and mountains surrounding the property, it offers a refreshing natural setting. The ryokan is large, with a 7-story main building (plus 1 basement level) and a separate 6-story annex. Its signature bath is a massive open-air bath opened in 2014, covering 1,508㎡ and known as one of the largest in western Japan. Among its five private open-air baths, the stone bath and hinoki bath are barrier-free and can be used by wheelchair users. The ryokan has its own hot spring source, providing abundant water supply. Day-use bathing is also available, making it a good choice for visitors who want to try multiple baths. Room options include ones with private scenic-view open-air baths and themed rooms featuring Ehime’s mascot “”Mican,”” as well as various sizes for groups; there are also 15 single rooms suitable for solo travelers or business stays.
