Kansuitei Kozeniya is a small inn in central Tottori City where you can enjoy natural hot springs despite being in the prefectural capital’s downtown. Having a privately sourced onsen in a prefectural capital is rare nationwide, and while it’s in the heart of the entertainment district, the inn maintains a quiet, refined atmosphere—convenient for both sightseeing and business. The communal baths can also be visited for day use, making it a good rest stop during travel. The spring quality is chloride-sulfate, said to help with rheumatism, neuralgia, and gout. The property consists of a modern-style “Hakusuikan” and a traditional Japanese “Gensuitei,” allowing you to choose based on preference and needs. A popular dish is the “abalone steak” (availability varies with season and procurement, but it’s worth trying).
