E Hotel Akita

E-Hotel Akita is a convenient hotel for both business and sightseeing, located right near the downtown entertainment district of Kawabata and close to the government office area. Because zeolite that generates negative ions is buried underground, the entire hotel is said to be wrapped in negative ions for a healing effect—an initiative claimed to be unique in the world. The top-floor panoramic public bath uses hot water infused with Yakeyama lava stone from the Tamagawa Onsen area and Towada stone, creating a negative-ion-rich soak. On the top floor, the scenic restaurant "Café de Nature" serves a Japanese-Western buffet breakfast.
