La Vista Fuji Lake Kawaguchi

La Vista Fuji Kawaguchiko is a relaxing and luxurious resort inspired by the Provence region of southern France, offering panoramic views of Lake Kawaguchi and Mt. Fuji. You can choose from nine room categories. The interiors are simple yet stylish, with a nostalgic feel that often makes guests think, “I’d love to renovate my own home like this.” Even the most affordable room category is about 40㎡, and you can soak in the in-room bathtub while looking out at Mt. Fuji. Having a sofa in the room is another nice touch. The large public bath uses hot spring water and includes an indoor bath and open-air bath, plus four private reservable baths and even a ganbanyoku (hot-stone spa). The ganbanyoku can be used by two people at the same time and is free to use 24 hours a day—definitely worth trying. Dining is mainly Western cuisine, enjoyed at Restaurant Petit Poche. You can also enjoy spa treatments; a recommended option is a detox course said to be Japan’s first using abundant Dead Sea water and Dead Sea mud from Jordan. Access: by car, 14 minutes from Chuo Expressway “Kawaguchiko IC,” or 16 minutes from Higashi-Fuji-Goko Road “Fujiyoshida IC.” By train, transfer at JR Chuo Main Line “Otsuki Station” to the Fujikyu Railway and get off at “Kawaguchiko Station,” then 11 minutes by taxi or free shuttle. By highway bus, take a bus from Shinjuku or Tokyo to Kawaguchiko Station, then 11 minutes by taxi or free shuttle bus.
