Hotel Kaneyamaen
Hotel Kaneyamaen is an authentic Japanese ryokan known for its gardens and breathtaking Mt. Fuji views. Its hot springs are a highlight: from the open-air bath you can see Mt. Fuji all the way down to its base. The bath depth is designed deep at about 90 cm—part of the hospitality to help guests enjoy the full Mt. Fuji view. The spring quality is strongly alkaline (pH 10.3), enriched by Mt. Fuji’s blessings. Indoor baths offer many varieties: sauna, bubble bath, reclining bath, waterfall bath, and more. The garden also has a footbath; soaking while enjoying nature and the changing seasons is superb. Meals feature seasonal Japanese cuisine prepared with care using ingredients blessed by the natural environment around Mt. Fuji. Dining options include private-room style restaurants and an open-kitchen dining area, depending on your occasion. Rooms are generally spacious tatami Japanese-style, with some room types offering beds. Access: by car, about 15 minutes from Kawaguchiko IC via Route 138; or about 50 minutes from Ichinomiya-Misaka IC via Route 137; or from Gotemba IC via the Higashi-Fuji-Goko toll road, exit at Yamanakako IC, then Route 138 (~15 min). By train, there is a shuttle bus from Fujikyu Railway “Fujisan Station.” By bus, take Fujikyu Bus or Chuo Expressway Bus to “Fujisan Station,” then use the shuttle bus.
