Aso Farm Land

Aso Farm Land is a nature-based health theme park in Aso, Kumamoto Prefecture. The park is divided into six themed areas: Relax, Stay, Move, Grow, Eat, and Shop. At the Health Pavilion, you can check your health condition. In the Aso Genki no Mori area, people from children to seniors can exercise in nature, and you can also enjoy hands-on experiences at the petting zoo and craft workshop facilities. In the relaxation zone, you can try doctor fish, spa services, and stone sauna (ganbanyoku), and satisfy your appetite at the healthy buffet or restaurants. In the “Great Nature Aso Health Forest,” you can stay overnight in one of 300+ round dome-shaped cottages and use the large hot spring facility (about 1,000 tsubo for both men and women). There is also an oxygen-bath dome scented with aroma and filled with high-concentration oxygen. With facilities like the “Health Department Store” and a milk farm, it’s designed for enjoying and engaging with health in a vast natural setting. Staying overnight is recommended, as there are too many attractions to fully cover in just one day. Access: from JR Kumamoto Station, take the JR Hohi Line to Akamizu Station, then a taxi about 7 minutes.
