Koraku Onyado Fujiginkei Hotel

Fujiginkei is an elegant ryokan on the shore of Lake Kawaguchi (one of the Fuji Five Lakes), where every guest room offers views of the grand Mt. Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi. Rooms are quiet and relaxing, available as Japanese-style rooms or Japanese-Western rooms. You can also enjoy Mt. Fuji while soaking in the large bath and open-air bath, “Fujimi-no-Yu.” The hot spring source is “Reisui-no-Yu Asakawa.” The water is a simple hot spring, categorized as a weakly alkaline calcium/sodium sulfate/chloride spring. It is said to help with neuralgia, muscle pain, gallstones, hemorrhoids, sensitivity to cold, chronic dermatitis, gout, obesity, diabetes, and chronic cholecystitis, among others. Meals feature seasonal Japanese kaiseki cuisine crafted with abundant ingredients chosen by the head chef. Access: by train, transfer at JR Chuo Main Line “Otsuki Station” to the Fujikyu Railway (~60 min) and get off at “Kawaguchiko Station,” then about 5 minutes by car. By highway bus: from Busta Shinjuku take the Chuo Expressway Bus (Fuji Five Lakes Line) ~100 minutes to Kawaguchiko Station; from there, taxi ~5 minutes. By car: via Otsuki JCT, exit at Kawaguchiko IC, then Route 137 (~10 min). A free shuttle is available from Kawaguchiko Station.
