One standout feature is the wide variety of reservable private baths: a fully Japanese-style bath with a tea-room-like changing area (“Sen no Rikyu”), a Roman-style bath (“Thermae Romae”), a seasonal “Hotaru-no-Yu” where you can see fireflies near the stream by the hotel in summer, and a fairytale-like authentic “Goemon-buro.” Each offers a unique twist on the usual onsen experience, and can be enjoyed privately. In forest cottages fully separated from the main building, a karaoke room is available for up to 135 minutes, making it especially recommended for group trips and family vacations. The food is delicious—and surprisingly, free wine is served even in the morning. In addition, the lounge offers free wine and herbal tea, the front desk area provides free apple juice and light snacks, and even coffee is available at the footbath—an indulgent set of complimentary services that makes the hotel very popular. Since the hotel is somewhat far from the station, using the advance-reservation shuttle bus is recommended if you’re traveling by public transportation.
