Kamakura Kaihin Park Yuigahama District
Kamakura Kaihin Park is an ocean-view park facing Sagami Bay, divided into three areas: Yuigahama, Sakanoshita, and Inamuragasaki. The closest area to Kamakura Station is Yuigahama. The spacious 2.5-hectare grounds are perfect for children to play. Kids can run around the huge lawn plaza while enjoying the sea breeze, and the park also has unique playground equipment such as tube slides and climbing walls that are hard to find in ordinary parks. An older-model Enoden train is displayed here, known by the nickname “Tankoro,” and you can enter it between 9:00 and 16:00—great for train-loving children. The “Hill Plaza” offers excellent views and is also a relaxing spot for adults to watch the sea or windsurfers offshore. Access to the Yuigahama area: about a 5-minute walk from Wadazuka Station (Enoden) toward the sea, or about a 15-minute walk from JR Kamakura Station in the opposite direction of Tsurugaoka Hachimangu.
