Experience details
Meet your guide at Ohori Koen Subway Station and begin your walking tour. The first stop is Ohori Park, one of the best waterfront parks in Japan. This park has a history as the outer moat of Fukuoka Castle and is now a place of relaxation and recreation for the citizens.
After experiencing a moment of peace and quiet here, head to the Japanese Garden. Located in a corner of the park, the garden is known for its beautiful waterfront scenery. Next, head to Fukuoka Castle. The castle was once the residence of the Kuroda clan, the feudal lords who ruled Fukuoka Prefecture during the feudal era.
In recent years, some of the former structures have been reconstructed, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in history. Once you leave Fukuoka Castle, the tour ends as you head for the subway station.
