The Matsuyama Airport Observation Deck is an outdoor deck on the 3rd floor of Matsuyama Airport. Parts of the surrounding fence are cut out at eye level so it’s easier to photograph aircraft. Benches and vending machines are available, so on a nice day it’s a pleasant spot to relax while watching takeoffs and landings. On the 3rd floor indoors there are facilities including “”Akariya Shoten BOOKS＆COFFEE,”” a “”Sky Lounge,”” and “”sola Dining.”” The Sky Lounge is open to anyone for 1,000 yen + tax for two hours and offers free Wi-Fi along with complimentary coffee and mikan juice, plus paid options such as local Ehime sake and craft beer. “”sola Dining”” is a cafeteria used by airport staff, but it is also open to the public and offers plenty of budget-friendly options such as one-coin lunches. “”Akariya Shoten BOOKS＆COFFEE”” is a bookstore with an attached coffee counter.
