道後温泉駅
Dogo Onsen Station is a terminal station on the Iyotetsu city tram line and one of the most distinctive stations in Japan. The entire station building houses “”Starbucks Coffee Dogo Onsen Station,”” making it a unique sightseeing spot. On the second floor, tables made from old railroad ties and rails add a nostalgic railway atmosphere. The station building is a restored version of the original station constructed in 1911 and is beautifully illuminated at night. Dogo Onsen Station is known as the nearest station to Dogo Onsen and as the terminal for the famous Bocchan Train. On weekends and public holidays when the Bocchan Train operates, visitors may see it turning around at the station. In front of the station is the Dogo Onsen Tourist Information Center, staffed by multilingual guides who speak English, Chinese, French, and Italian. Services include accommodation reservations, luggage storage, and bicycle rentals, making it an excellent starting point for sightseeing in Dogo and beyond.
