松山駅
Matsuyama Station is a JR Shikoku Yosan Line station. The Yosan Line is used for travel toward areas such as Uchiko, Iyo-Ozu, and Uwajima, as well as toward Imabari. Some services between Okayama/Takamatsu and Matsuyama, and between Matsuyama and Uwajima, include the themed “”Anpanman Train,”” so fans may want to plan rides around those times. Inside the station there is also an “”Anpanman Bench”” decorated with Anpanman and Dokin-chan. If you reserve at least three days in advance, you can purchase an “”Anpanman Bento”” at the Kiosk (pickup available after 10:00). The Kiosk also sells the famous local ekiben “”Shoyu-meshi,”” typically available from around midday. Because Matsuyama Station is on the west side of the city, travelers generally need to take an Iyotetsu tram or a bus to reach the central area around Matsuyama-shi Station. Also note that Matsuyama Station uses staffed ticket gates only and does not accept IC cards. There is a tourist information office with a full-time English-speaking staff member and a part-time Chinese-speaking staff member, and they can also help book accommodations.
