Experience details
Meet your guide and set off to the Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine. Admire the red shrine pavilion and the many historical treasures that have been handed down within the shrine grounds.
After visiting the shrine, stop by the shopping area near the shrine. The shopping street is lined with street food and sundry stores that will delight your eyes.
Next, move from the shopping street to the station and take the Enoden, a small and cute green tram, to the Great Buddha of Kamakura. From the window of the train, enjoy the scenery of Kamakura as you move along.
After getting off the train and walking a short distance, arrive at the Great Buddha of Kamakura. The Great Buddha of Kamakura is said to have been built by samurai warriors who lived in Kamakura.
In its long history of 800 years, the Great Buddha has suffered damage from tsunamis and winds, and continues to exist in this location despite losing the buildings and other structures in which it is housed.
