A beautiful Taisho Neo-Renaissance style building "Osaka City Central Public Hall "is located on Nakanoshima Island between the Dojima and Tosa Rivers, about a 5-minute walk from exit 1 of Yodoyabashi Station on the Midosuji Subway Line and Keihan Electric Railway.

Construction was completed in 1918 with a donation of 1 million yen (5 billion yen today) by Einosuke Iwamoto, an Osaka stockbroker.
Since that time, it has been deeply involved in the development of art and culture in Osaka, hosting operas and concerts by top artists and lectures by celebrities.

Due to its aging, the building was reconstructed over a period of three and a half years, and renewed in September 2002.
And because of its high historical and artistic value, it was designated as a National Important Cultural Property in December 2002. It is the first public hall building in western Japan.

The interior of the hall is reminiscent of a European palace



The hall consists of a large meeting room, medium meeting room, small meeting room, special room, various conference rooms, store, and restaurant.
Various events are held in the large assembly hall, including concerts, plays, ballet, fashion shows, and various ceremonies. Seating capacity is 810 on the first floor and 351 on the second floor, for a total of 1161 seats.
It is a historical hall where lectures by Helen Keller, Gagarin, and other famous people were once held.

Osaka Prefectural Nakanoshima Library



"Osaka Prefectural Nakanoshima Library "is located between Osaka Central Public Hall and Osaka City Hall in Nakanoshima.
The imposing architecture, reminiscent of Greek and Roman temples, is breathtaking.
The museum opened in 1904. It was built with a donation from the 15th Kichizaemon Sumitomo. The name of the library at that time was "Osaka Library ".
In 1922, the main building was expanded several times, including additions to both the left and right wings, and the building took its present form.
In 1945, it survived the war damage of the Osaka Air Raid, and in 1974, it was renamed "Osaka Prefectural Nakanoshima Library "and designated as a National Important Cultural Property.

Access is approximately a 4-minute walk from Yodoyabashi Station Exit 1 on the Midosuji Subway Line and Keihan Electric Railway.

Central hall reminiscent of a church



Entering from the main entrance on the second floor, visitors will find a grand staircase in front of the central hall, a domed atrium space, and beautiful stained glass light pouring down from the circular windows in the ceiling.

The library includes Business Reference Rooms 1-3, Business Reference Room Research Consultation Counter, Library Cooperation Room, Digital Information Room, and Borrowing and Return Counter on the 2nd floor, and Osaka Materials and Classics Rooms 1-3 on the 3rd floor. The total collection is approximately 550,000 items.

Cafe "Smorgasbord Kitchen Nakanoshima "is located on the second floor.

Umeda Sky Building



"Umeda Sky Building "is a 40-story skyscraper built in 1993 in the Shin-Umeda City complex.
Access is a 7-minute walk from Osaka Station on the JR Lines and a 9-minute walk from Umeda Station on the Midosuji Subway Line.
The imposing twin towers, also known as the "future Arc de Triomphe ", are crowded with domestic and international tourists every day.

It is divided into Tower West and Tower East and contains numerous offices, showrooms, conference rooms, restaurants, etc.
There is a hanging garden observation deck on the 40th floor to the rooftop.
The area around the building is also full of nature with greenery and small waterfalls to enjoy.
Visitors can stroll through the forest while feeling the cool breeze, and it is truly an oasis in the city.

Escalators that make you feel as if you are flying in the sky



When you arrive at our building, the first thing you probably do is look up from underneath the building.
There is a circular hole between the two buildings, which are divided into Tower West and Tower East, with a view of the blue sky.
The two bridges over the round hole look like escalators, but they are actually escalators.

This escalator takes you up from the 35th floor to the ticket counter on the 39th floor.
The glass walls of the building will make you feel as if you are flying through the air.
Enjoy the views from the indoor observation deck on the 40th floor or further up to the rooftop at "Sky Walk ".



It offers a panoramic view of the city of Osaka, not only during the daytime, but also at night when the neon lights sparkle with stunning beauty.
If heights are your thing, be sure to take the outdoor Sky Walk to enjoy the beautiful view.

Also, you can go up to the observation lobby where the ticket counter is located on the 39th floor for free, so if you are not sure whether you want to go up to the Hanging Garden or not, we recommend you to go up to the 39th floor once.

Namba Parks



Namba Parks ", a large complex built in 2003 on the site of the former Osaka Baseball Stadium ".
Access is conveniently located directly connected to Namba Station on the Nankai Electric Railway lines.

It is a 10-story facility with more than 200 shops/restaurants and a movie theater.
Despite its location in a large city, the Parks Garden has approximately 11,500 m2 of lush greenery, and aims to be a beloved "urban park "where people, the city, and nature come together as one.
The Parks Tower, a 30-story office building, is also adjacent to the building.

HEP FIVE



When you visit Umeda, you are sure to see the red Ferris wheel that stands out from the crowd.
"HEP FIVE "(HEP FIVE), located a 3-minute walk from Osaka Umeda Station on the Hankyu Railway, was established in 1998.
This is the first time in the world that a Ferris wheel with air conditioning has been built integrated with a building.
