To Minoh Falls!

If you’re looking for nature in Osaka, then this is the tour for you! Hike through 2.5km of road from the station to the waterfall. Enjoy the relaxing scenery of the river and maple leaves. This area is especially beautiful during the fall season, when all the leaves turn to vivid auburn colors.

Along the way, we’ll also stop by the Mino Park Insect Museum and Ryuanji Temple. Get a taste of nature infused with Japanese culture!

▼If you go in the fall, you’ll see beautiful maple leaves. Unlike overseas, Japan’s maple leaves are very small and the trees don’t make syrup. Many people visit the area specifically to see the vivid colors of the leaves.

Rare insects of the world!

This may come as a surprise, but bug catching is a popular hobby among children in Japan. Because of this, you can find places like this insectarium, where people come to appreciate rare insects from all over the world. The beetles in particular are often highly sought after.

The ancient temple of Minoh, Ryuanji!

Before heading to the waterfall, let’s go for a walk on the grounds of Ryuanji Temple. Long ago, this was a sacred area for the monks that lived in these mountains.

▼In front of the main entrance to the temple grounds is a strange stone statue... just what exactly is its significance?
