Premium “konpeito” making experience
Try your hand at a special experience, available only at the top “konpeito” candy making facility in all of western Japan. The candy workshop lets you make your very own unique konpeito in a 30 centimeter-wide mini cauldron. Select and blend two different colors and flavors to make a one-of-a-kind mix of konpeito. The experience includes a small bottle to put your candy into and take back home, making it the perfect souvenir or gift.
Learn about the history and the manufacturing process of the candy
Before the actual experience starts there will be a brief explanation about the history and the manufacturing process of the candy. Konpeito was originally introduced to Japan by Portuguese traders and has been perceived as a traditional Japanese confectionery for quite a long time. By learning about its deep history, you get to appreciate and enjoy the candy all the more.
Create unique candy
Try your hand at making the candy in a mini cauldron. Select your favorite colors and flavors to create a very unique blend.
Put the candy into the mini cauldron.
Prepare the liquid that will add the color and the flavor to your candy.
Add the flavor yourself.
The moment when the color and fragrance of the candy gradually changes is fascinating, almost like magic!
Finish your candy by sprinkling gold flakes on top.

Bottle the candy up
Put the finished candy into a cute bottle and you are done! The candy that you made yourself makes for the perfect present or souvenir. Take home with you not just pleasant memories, but also a unique one-of-a-kind bottle of candy.
Taste-testing and shopping
You can taste-test a selection of candy at the end of the experience. If you find a flavor you particularly like during the tasting, you can purchase it on the spot and take it back home with you.
