◆Head out to the popular Dotonbori from either β Honamchi Bashi, or the Minatomachi Dock
β Honmachi Bashi is an experimental facility that was created under the “Have fun and learn about downtown by the waterfront” motto. It is located just under a suspended highway bridge crossing the river. It offers a rare opportunity to enjoy the most popular spot of Osaka, the busy Dotonbori strip from the river surface, as well as a rare sight of the underside of the 19 bridges it sails under.

In stark contrast to the solemn bridges with a deep history, a different view slowly spreads in front of you as you sail into the Dotonbori strip. From all the famous spots and shops in the area, the sight of the most popular Glico Running Man sign from the river surface is simply stunning. From the giant Ferris wheel and the locally loved penguin mascot of the Don Quijote Shinsaibashi store to giant store signs and monuments including the famous kushi katsu skewer restaurant Daruma, nothing screams more “Osaka” than the scenery spread out in front of you here.
