Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse



The Red Brick Warehouse is one of many historical buildings in Yokohama, and is designated as a historical landmark by the city of Yokohama.

Berrick Hall



This Western-style house is located in Yamanote-cho. The Western-style building used to be the home of English trader Bertram Robert Berrick, and is now part of Motomachi Park. It has two stories above ground and one below, and the ceiling is 4 meters high, giving it the atmosphere of the time when it was built.
The Spanish style architecture is everywhere, and there is much to see and do. You can see everything, even the baths, so be sure to go inside and take a look.

Yokohama Port Opening Memorial Hall



Completed in 1917, this building is a National Important Cultural Property and is still in use today as the Yokohama Naka-ku Public Hall. The clock tower is the landmark of the building, which is known as Jack's Tower. It is the Jack of the three Yokohama towers, with Kanagawa Prefectural Office as the King and Yokohama Customs as the Queen. At night, the Yokohama Port Opening Memorial Hall is illuminated, offering a different view of the city.
It is built of a mixture of red brick and granite and has wonderful stained glass windows on the second floor.

Diplomat's house



The Diplomat's House in the Yamanote Italian Mountain Garden is a spot that is often used for paintings and photographs, as it has a great atmosphere anyway, including the garden.
There is an octagonal sunroom, and stained glass windows are everywhere, making it easy to see what was essential for life in those days.
There is a coffee corner to enjoy seasonal tarts and homemade cookies on the terrace of the garden cafe.

Yamanote Italian Mountain Garden



Formerly the home of Sadatsuchi Uchida, a diplomat of the Meiji government, it was moved to the Yamate Italia-yama Garden and is now designated as a National Important Cultural Property.

Nihonmaru Memorial Park



The Nihonmaru Memorial Park, which has become a symbol of Minato Mirai, is located in Minato Mirai's Green Park. The traditional sailing ship Nippon Maru is located here, and the Yokohama Giant Ferris Wheel can be seen beyond it, making it an excellent photo spot. There is a promenade parallel to the waterfront, a café, and a lawn area where visitors can relax. The Nippon Maru and the exhibition dock are designated as National Important Cultural Properties.

Kanagawa Prefectural Government Main Building



It is the king of the three towers of Yokohama and is also the main building of the Kanagawa Prefectural Government.
The three towers of Yokohama consist of the Yokohama Customs House (Queen's Tower), the Yokohama Port Opening Memorial Hall (Jack's Tower), and the Kanagawa Prefectural Government Building. The building is a blend of Japanese and Western styles, and was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, whose style was popular in the early Showa period (early 20th century). Yokohama Customs



It is one of the three buildings in Yokohama and is called the Queen's Tower. It is an exotic building with a greenish-blue dome. The inside of the building is also open for tours, and the Queen's Plaza provides visitors with an easy-to-understand introduction to the history of trade and the flow of import/export customs clearance. The museum also introduces the methods of smuggling and the activities of drug-sniffing dogs.

You can see it in front of you when you look from the harbor.



It was designed to be seen from the front when viewed from the incoming port, so it looks beautiful when seen from the sea.
