Going into it, I wasn't really sure what to expect. All I knew was that there was some sort of performance and that the place was called Samurai Cafe. Honestly, I expected less show and more cafe.
But I do have to say, I was surprised by the quality of the performance. I was a bit disappointed at first because the room was smaller than I had imagined and there were no tables, just tatami mats. The smaller space, however, works to their advantage I think. No matter where you're sitting, you're pretty close to the action, which was good. I really liked the ninja scenes.
The audience participation part was unexpected for me, but made for some comedic moments. I definitely think this is something that's more fun to do with friends. Though the actors came with good energy, and did a stellar job getting everyone into the performance.
If you're willing to splurge a bit, the set with the meal was great too! I really liked the presentation and how it fit with the motif.
